Is the Bose Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar worth it?
Only if you want Bose — the Sonos Arc Ultra is better for the price.
It's well made, with a glass top and fabric front, clear dialogue and decent bass for a single bar. It supports AirPlay and Google Cast, and Bose's app is simple. Reviewers disagree on the Atmos: some hear a big, wide sound, others find the height and scale underwhelming. It plays no DTS at all, has one HDMI port, no remote in the box, and the glass top can reflect the screen.

- One HDMI eARC port, no HDMI inputs and no optical port.
- No remote in the box.

How we reached this verdict
Reviews are split. T3 and Expert Reviews give it five stars for a wide, spacious sound. What Hi-Fi gives three stars, saying it lacks drama and scale and that the Sonos Arc Ultra achieves much more for the same price. RTINGS rates it decent for dialogue but only satisfactory for films, and Trusted Reviews (4.5/5) found the room tuning failed repeatedly in its test. It replaced the Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar in 2026.
We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
