Is the Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x worth it?
Yes — the best multi-styler, if you can justify the price.
Its fast dryer takes hair from wet to nearly dry as quickly as a proper hair dryer, and the barrels wrap bigger sections than older Airwraps, giving soft, bouncy curls that last into the next day without heat damage. Attachments set their own heat and airflow. The airflow is strong enough to frizz fine hair, the buttons are small, and older Airwrap attachments don't fit.

What owners say
Owners love how fast and powerful it dries and how well the curls last. The main complaint is units that stop working or won't switch on within weeks.
Good to know
- Older Airwrap attachments don't fit, and it's single voltage, so it won't work abroad.
- The buttons are small and fiddly.
- The airflow is strong enough to cause flyaways on fine hair, with no gentler setting.
- Styling long, heavy hair can still take most of an hour.

How we reached this verdict
The Independent gives it 4.5 out of 5 after ten months of use: the dryer replaced a full-size one, and curls come out soft and bouncy without crunch. Stuff calls it the best multi-styler it has used, with curls lasting into day two, and Marie Claire found it light and quiet. Netzwelt's test found the strongest airflow in its group, great for thick hair but too much for fine hair, and an air straightener that can't straighten natural curls.
We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
