Is the Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene worth it?
Only if easy upkeep matters most.
Dyson's floor cleaner separates solid dirt in the head, so there's no filter to go musty, and the dock washes and dries the roller with hot water and air. It's light, long-running and lies flat. But tests disagree on how well it cleans: one rates it top marks, while another found its stain removal and mopping below average, with more water left on the floor and a small clean-water tank. Cheaper rivals mop as well or better.

How we reached this verdict
Trusted Reviews gives it 5/5: it cleans brilliantly, is easy to empty and has no smelly filter, though it doesn't quite reach the edge. Vacuum Wars disagrees, measuring below-average stain removal and mopping, more water left behind and a small tank, and says most people can find better for the money. TechRadar, comparing Dyson's range, wasn't fully sold on its design.
We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
