Is the Dyson V11 worth it?

Yes — if you want a Dyson without paying V15 money.

It cleans carpet and pet hair well, runs up to an hour on Eco, and a screen shows the minutes left. You don't get the V15's laser or dust sensor, and you hold the trigger the whole time.

Get it if…

  • You want a Dyson for a mid-size home.
  • You have carpet and pets.
  • The V15 is more than you want to spend.

Skip it if…

  • You want it to empty itself.
  • Weight matters — it gets tiring on long cleans.

Things to know before you buy

  1. 01

The trigger has no lock, so you hold it down the whole clean.

  2. 02

At 3kg it gets heavy after a long session.

  3. 03

Dust and hair can stick in the bin and need clearing by hand.

TechRadar's tests gave it high cleaning scores, especially on medium carpet and pet hair, and Tom's Guide calls it the Dyson to get on a budget. It lacks the V15's extras and the trigger has to be held, which is why it sits in the middle.
