Is the Hisense C2 Ultra worth it?
Yes β for gaming and rooms with a light on.
It's easily bright enough for a living room with a couple of lamps on, its colours are exceptional and its contrast is reliably good. The two-axis stand points it at a wall or the ceiling, and it games at up to 240Hz with low lag. It has a smart TV system with Netflix. It has no lens shift, its colours are too cold until calibrated, and de-juddering films drops it to 1080p.

How we reached this verdict
RTINGS rates it an excellent gaming projector: very bright, exceptional colour volume, reliably good contrast, a full set of auto-setup features and very easy calibration. It notes no lens shift, a cold picture before calibration, de-judder only at 1080p and some rainbow effect.
We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
