Is the Philips 3200 LatteGo worth it?

Only if it's clearly cheaper than the 3300.

It makes cappuccinos and latte macchiatos at a touch, and its milk system is two parts with no tubes, so it's quick to clean. Philips has replaced it with the 3300, which keeps the same LatteGo but has a much quieter grinder and better coffee and milk foam. Buy the 3200 only at a clear discount.

Good to know

  • The grinder is loud.
  • Espresso can come out weak, even on the finest grind.
  • Milk drinks can be lukewarm, and one cup won't fill a big mug.

How we reached this verdict

Tom's Guide found it simple to use and easy to clean, but the espresso weak and the milk foam only OK; Coffeeness rates it a good entry-level machine with a loud grinder. Its successor, the 3300, keeps the same easy-clean LatteGo and fixes the noise, so the 3200 is only worth it at a discount.

We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
