Is the Roborock Saros 10R worth it?

Yes — for busy homes with hard floors.

It spots cables, socks and toys reliably, so you can let it run without tidying first, and at about 8 cm tall it slides under most sofas. Hard floors and mopping are excellent. Pulling pet hair out of carpet is its weak spot.

Things to know before you buy

  1. 01

With pets and carpets, you'll still need a regular vacuum now and then.

Its sensors sit in the body instead of a tall laser turret, which is why it's both slim and good at seeing obstacles. That makes it the one to trust unsupervised in a busy home. On carpets full of pet hair, the L60 Ultra does better.
