Is the Tikom V500 worth it?

Yes — on a very tight budget.

On hard floors and low carpet it picks up nearly as well as a Dyson V8, it barely tangles with hair and the bin is big. Suction is weak, so deep carpet and corners are where it falls behind.

Tikom V500

– Weak on deep carpet; 18 minutes on max
  • Very cheap
  • Big 1.3-litre bin
  • Brush barely tangles with hair

Things to know before you buy

  1. 01

Vacuum Wars measured 32 minutes on standard and 18 on max.

  2. 02

Below-average suction and crevice pickup in their tests.

Vacuum Wars names it the best budget cordless: its hard-floor pickup was close to a Dyson V8 Animal and filtration was among the best they've seen under $100. Suction and deep-carpet cleaning are below average, which is the price you pay.
