Ninja CREAMi Scoop & Swirl: questions before you buy

Yes — if you really want soft serve.
Soft-serve cones at home, plus everything the CREAMi does. Big and pricey.

How does the soft serve work?
You freeze a base in the special tub for 24 hours as with any CREAMi, choose a soft-serve programme, and the machine pushes it out through a nozzle when you pull the handle.
How many cones does one tub make?
Ninja says about four cones per 480 ml tub, using wafer cones.
Can it still make scooped ice cream?
Yes. It has six soft-serve programmes, six classic scoop programmes and Mix-In — 13 in all — and the same tubs work for both.
What is CreamiFit?
A soft-serve programme for high-protein treats. Ninja says its CreamiFit recipes come in under 150 kcal per 120 ml serving, before the cone.
How big is it?
Big — it's the largest CREAMi, taller and deeper than the others, so measure your counter and cabinet height.
Can I add mix-ins?
Yes, with the Mix-In programme — but TechRadar warns chunky mix-ins can clog the machine.
Can I use other CREAMi tubs?
No. It only takes its own Swirl (NC700 series) tubs, which have nozzles built in.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Yes, Ninja lists the removable parts as dishwasher safe.
Should I get this or the CREAMi Deluxe?
The Scoop & Swirl only if soft-serve cones are the point — it costs more and takes more space. For scooped ice cream, the Deluxe makes more per tub for less.
