Is the Eva-Dry EDV-1100 Petite Dehumidifier worth it?
No β unless it's for a closet or a boat.
It's tiny, amazingly quiet and adds almost no heat, and it can run off a 12 V outlet with an optional cord, which suits RVs and boats. But its dehumidifying capacity is terrible: RTINGS found it struggles in anything bigger than a crawl space. The tank holds about 0.5 L, with no hose drain, so you'll empty it often. For a real bedroom or bathroom, a small compressor model like the Midea Cube 20 does far more.
Good to know
- Removes very little water, even in a small room.
- The 0.5 L tank fills quickly and can't drain to a hose.

How we reached this verdict
RTINGS scores it very low: it's tiny, quiet and barely warms the room, but its capacity is terrible, the tank is small and it can't drain continuously. It's only worth it for very small, enclosed spaces.
We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
