Is the Frigidaire 50-Pint Dehumidifier with Built-in Pump (FFAP5034W1) worth it?
Yes β for large basements.
It removes a lot of moisture and moves plenty of air, so it handles large, open, unfinished basements, and it's energy-efficient for all-day running. The 2.1-gallon bucket means less emptying, and the built-in pump can drain it continuously. You have to buy the drain hose, it's fairly noisy at high speed and it warms smaller rooms.

How we reached this verdict
RTINGS names it the best basement dehumidifier it has tested: amazing capacity and airflow for big open basements, energy-efficient, with a big bucket and a built-in pump. You have to buy the drain hose, and it's somewhat noisy and gives off heat.
We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
