Is the GE 35-Pint Dehumidifier with Smart Dry (ADHL35LA) worth it?
Yes, for a medium room β but the bucket is a pain.
It's fairly compact for a 35-pint model and very energy-efficient, with enough capacity for a medium-sized basement or room. Smart Dry changes the fan speed by itself depending on the humidity, and you can drain it with a hose. The 1.1-gallon bucket is small for its capacity and many owners found it hard to slide out; it's also a little noisy and warms smaller rooms.

How we reached this verdict
RTINGS finds it decent for basements and bathrooms: reasonably compact, energy-efficient and big enough for medium rooms. It's on the noisier side, gives off heat and has a small bucket for its capacity, and owners often complain the bucket sticks.
We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
