Is the SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 worth it?
Only if you want the most tweaks and the screen.
Its OmniPoint 3.0 magnetic switches adjust from 0.1 to 4.0 mm, with rapid trigger, Rapid Tap, Protection Mode and two actions per key, and the OLED screen changes settings or shows system stats without leaving your game. Reviewers loved the feel and the build. It's wired only with no USB passthrough, the wrist rest is short and flat, the software can be inconsistent, and it costs about the same as the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL 8KHz.

Good to know
- The wrist rest is short and flat, so palms can hang off the edge.
- Wired only, with no USB passthrough.

How we reached this verdict
TechRadar found it brilliantly made, with switches responsive enough to make actuation points easy to hit, but called the price steep and the wrist rest unergonomic, and missed controller emulation. PC Gamer praised its switches, feel and software, but found the software inconsistent and the price high for a wired keyboard this size with no wireless or USB passthrough.
We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
