Is the TCL Q85H worth it?
Yes β real surround sound on a budget.
You get the bar, a wireless sub and two rear satellites, with side-firing drivers for width and up-firing drivers for real overhead Atmos effects. It sounds full and punchy, gets loud with little compression and has room correction, EQ presets and clear dialogue. Wireless is limited to Bluetooth and AirPlay 2, there's no voice assistant, and audio lags over optical.

How we reached this verdict
RTINGS rates it impressive for mixed use and great for TV and music: full-bodied sound, little compression even at high volume, room correction and true up-firing Atmos, with side-firing drivers for width. Its limits are wireless (Bluetooth and AirPlay 2 only), no voice assistant and high latency over optical.
We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
