Is the Typhur Dome 2 worth it?

Only if you want flat space and style β€” it's expensive.

Its wide, shallow drawer fits a 12-inch pizza or 30-odd wings, heat comes from above and below, and a self-cleaning mode burns off grease. It costs far more than most air fryers, the drawer is only 6cm deep so a whole chicken won't fit, and some presets need adjusting.

Good to know

  • The drawer is only about 6cm tall, so a whole chicken or joint won't fit.
  • Some presets are off: the fries setting needed extra time in testing.
  • There's no shake reminder.
  • It's about 50cm wide, a big footprint for a 5.3L air fryer.

How we reached this verdict

Ideal Home found it efficient and brilliant at air frying, with self-cleaning and app control, its price the main catch. Expert Reviews liked the design, pizza-size drawer, self-cleaning and app, but its results were mixed: hash browns and chicken came out well, the fries preset needed 10 extra minutes and pizza crust overcooked.

We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
