Can I add extra batteries to it?
No. EcoFlow's spec sheet lists no extra-battery port on the standard DELTA 3 Max. Only the DELTA 3 Max Plus can be expanded (up to 10 kWh) — check which one you're buying.
Will it run a fridge and freezer through a power cut?
Yes, for about a day for a typical fridge plus lights and Wi-Fi, thanks to its 2,048 Wh battery. Our power station calculator shows hours for your own devices.
What can it power?
Up to 2,400 W continuously, enough for kettles, microwaves and most power tools. X-Boost lets some higher-power motors and heaters run at reduced power.
How fast does it recharge?
About 68 minutes to 80% from the wall, per EcoFlow.
Can it work as a UPS?
Yes. EcoFlow says it switches to battery in 10 ms when the power cuts, fast enough for routers, computers and NAS drives.
Can I charge it with solar?
Yes, up to 500 W of solar. With a 400 W panel EcoFlow estimates about 6.4 hours to full in good sun.
How heavy is it?
About 20.3 kg (45 lb). It has handles, but it's a unit that lives in one place.
What battery does it use?
LFP (lithium iron phosphate), which lasts for thousands of charge cycles.
Should I get this or the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2?
The Anker for most homes — 1 kWh covers a typical power cut, it's half the weight and recharges faster. The DELTA 3 Max only if your outages last a day or more.
