Is the Acer Nitro V 15 (2025) worth it?
Yes, as a budget 1080p gamer — in the RTX 5060 build.
With the RTX 5060 it runs most new games at about 60 fps or more on high settings at 1080p, and you get a Thunderbolt 4 port and memory you can upgrade. But it runs hot and loud, the screen's colours look pale, the processor and DDR4 memory are older, and the battery lasts about two hours in games. The RTX 5050 build with a Core i5 is held back.

What owners say
Most owners left a rating without a comment; the few who wrote say it games well for the price. None gave it 3 stars or fewer.
Good to know
- Gets hot and loud in demanding games; quiet in light use.
- The screen shows only about two-thirds of the normal colour range, so it looks pale.
- About two hours of gaming on battery, five to six and a half of light use. It charges from a barrel plug, not USB-C.
- It uses older DDR4 memory and a 13th-gen Intel processor.
- Make sure it's the 2025 model: ANV15-52 with an RTX 5050 or 5060. The same name was sold with RTX 3050 and 4050.

How we reached this verdict
TechRadar (4/5) found the RTX 5060 build ran AAA games at around 60 fps or more on high at 1080p, but it got hot and noisy. PC Gamer (70%) measured a 300-nit screen covering 66% of sRGB and saw the processor hit 100 °C. Notebookcheck (74%) found the Core i5 and RTX 5050 build held back and only about 5.5 hours of browsing.
We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
