Is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 worth it?

Yes if you want Android; otherwise the iPad Air is better value.

Its 11-inch AMOLED screen is bright and smooth, the S Pen comes in the box, and it's IP68 water and dust resistant, which no iPad is. It's fast, well built and gets seven years of Android updates, and Samsung DeX gives it a desktop-style mode. Reviewers find it expensive next to the iPad Air, the screen reflective, and the battery only average. Samsung often discounts it.

How we reached this verdict

Expert Reviews (4/5) calls it safe but somewhat stale, with killer performance and the best Android software support, but not the best value. IT Pro (4/5) calls it excellent but slightly overpriced. TechRadar (3.5/5) finds it hard to recommend over an iPad Air at a similar price. The new Tab S12 range is bigger and pricier, so this stays Samsung's 11-inch flagship.

We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
