Is the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 10 worth it?

Yes — in the RTX 5070 build.

The RTX 5070 version is the sweet spot: a bright, accurate 2560×1600 OLED, strong performance, a sturdy metal lid and two memory and two SSD slots, while staying quieter and cooler than most gaming laptops. The RTX 5070 Ti version is faster but loud and hot. Battery life is below average and the games slow sharply on battery.

Good to know

  • Gaming speed falls to a small fraction when unplugged; light use lasts about five to six hours.
  • The black finish picks up fingerprints.
  • No SD card reader or Thunderbolt 5, and two USB-A ports are the slower kind.
  • Lenovo's preinstalled apps show ads; you can turn most of them off.
  • The US RTX 5070 build is the 2026 refresh with an IPS screen, not OLED.
  • Prices have risen a lot since 2025, so compare a few shops.

Get it if…

  • You want a big, bright screen and high-end speed.
  • You care about noise and heat.
  • You want room to upgrade memory and storage.

Skip it if…

  • You game on battery — performance drops sharply unplugged.
  • You need an SD card reader or Thunderbolt 5.
  • You'd take the RTX 5070 Ti build without a stand — it throttles flat on a desk.
How we reached this verdict

Notebookcheck rated the RTX 5070 version 86%, calling it quieter, cooler and more efficient than the Ti: about 50 dB under load, a 519-nit OLED and over six hours of browsing. Its RTX 5070 Ti review (85%) found it the fastest of its kind at the time but loud at 57–58 dB. Ultrabook Review (4.25/5) saw the Ti throttle flat on a desk and recommended the cheaper builds.

We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
