Is the Philips 5400 LatteGo worth it?

Yes — for homes where everyone drinks something different.

It makes 12 drinks at a touch and remembers four people's favourites, and Coffeeness found its milk system much quieter than older Philips machines. The milk foam is only average.

Things to know before you buy

Milk foam isn't as fine as the best machines make.

Coffeeness praised the ceramic grinder, the espresso and the much quieter LatteGo frother, but found the milk foam not up to scratch. It's for homes that want lots of one-touch drinks and profiles; if you don't need them, the 3300 does the job.
