Is the Tineco Pure One A50S worth it?
Yes — if you can live with the weight.
It cleans carpet and hard floors very well, a dust sensor turns the power up for you, and the 1-litre bin is bigger than most. It's heavy, the handle is awkward, and on Auto it lasted about 20 minutes in testing.

- The mesh filter is hard to take out.
- It doesn't stand on its own; it needs the wall mount.

How we reached this verdict
TechRadar rates its cleaning 4 out of 5 but its design 2.5: superb suction let down by weight, an awkward handle and a head that drags on carpet. Yahoo's testers still picked it as their best overall stick, so it's worth it if the weight doesn't bother you.
We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
