Is the Breville Oracle Jet worth it?
Yes — if you want café espresso without the learning curve.
It grinds and tamps the coffee itself, guides you to the right grind on a big touchscreen and textures milk automatically, so you get top-notch espresso and lattes with very little skill. It's a hefty investment, it takes a lot of counter space, the grinder can be messy, and it can't brew and steam at the same time. In the UK it's sold as the Sage Oracle Jet.

How we reached this verdict
TechRadar gives it Editor's Choice: exceptional espresso, automatic grinding, tamping and milk frothing, and a large, intuitive touchscreen with smart grind guidance, so it's very easy to get quality drinks. It marks it down for the price, its size, a messy grinder and not brewing and steaming at once.
We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
