Is the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete worth it?

Only if you want every feature and mostly have carpet.

It's packed: 42,000 Pa of suction, mop and side-brush arms that reach into edges, cameras that steer round clutter and pet mess, and a low body that slips under furniture. Testers disagree on how well it cleans: one loved it, but RTINGS found it better on carpet than hard floors, leaving fine dust along edges. The dock is big. In the UK it's sold as the X60 Pro Ultra Complete.

Good to know

  • Fine dust gets left along skirting boards and in corners.
  • Tasselled or fringed rugs tangle its brush.
  • It sometimes mistakes larger debris for an obstacle and drives round it.
  • The dock is large.

How we reached this verdict

Tom's Guide gives it Editor's Choice for exceptional vacuuming and mopping, good obstacle avoidance and its extending arms, with only the big dock against it. RTINGS is cooler: very good at handling obstacles and pet waste and good on carpet, but only okay on hard floors, where it leaves fine debris along edges, so it wouldn't replace a manual vacuum.

We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
