Is the Logitech Ergo M575S Wireless Trackball worth it?
Yes โ the best value trackball.
You roll the ball with your thumb while the mouse stays put, so your wrist and shoulder hardly move. It's well built and comfortable for nearly every hand size, connects over its USB receiver or Bluetooth and runs on one AA battery. Logitech says the S has clicks about 80% quieter than the M575 it replaces; the shape is the same. It's right-handed only, the wheel doesn't tilt or spin freely, small hands may not reach the back and forward buttons, and unlike the MX Ergo S it doesn't tilt.

What owners say
Owners say it eased their wrist or shoulder pain, fits the hand well and takes only a few days to learn, and several were surprised how silent the clicks are. The three unhappy owners preferred a normal mouse, found the ball jumpy, or missed Logitech's older receiver.

How we reached this verdict
RTINGS rates the M575 great for office use: well built, with a palm-friendly shape for nearly all hand sizes and a receiver or Bluetooth, though the wheel can't tilt or free-scroll. Tom's Guide (4/5) found it comfortable all day and fantastic value, but with no left-handed version and a disposable battery. The M575S is the same trackball with quieter clicks, according to Logitech.
We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
