Is the Meaco 12L Low Energy Dehumidifier worth it?
Yes — for a flat or a few rooms, cheaply.
It draws about 157 W, roughly 4p an hour, has a 2.5 L tank, a 1 to 24 hour timer and a HEPA filter that doubles it as a basic air purifier. It's very good at drying washing in a small flat or a few rooms. The controls are fiddly, with a two-digit display, there's no quiet night mode, and many owners found it louder than they expected.

How we reached this verdict
TechRadar found it efficient and effective, cheap to run and very good for drying laundry, with a HEPA filter as a bonus. It also found the controls fiddly, missed a quiet night mode and said Meaco's newer Arete Two offers more for the money.
We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
