Is the Meaco Arete Two 20L worth it?
Yes — the best all-rounder for most homes.
It swaps the Arete One's motor for a quieter, more efficient DC one, dries washing faster and pulls more water out: in testing it took a living room from 76% to 67% humidity in an hour and 61% after two. You get a 4.8 L tank and an app for scheduling. The app is the weak spot, as some features are hard to find, and at 15 kg it's heavy to carry upstairs.

What owners say
Owners love how fast it dries washing, how much water it pulls out and the app. Only two of 134 were unhappy: one found clothes still wet after 18 hours, the other a humidity reading that ran low.

What 20 litres means
20 litres a day is measured at 30 °C and 80% humidity. In a typical 20 °C room at 60% it removes about 8.5 litres, and 3.35 litres at 10 °C.
Two jobs
A HEPA filter and an air purification mode let it clean the air too, with or without drying.
Smart features
App, Alexa and Google control, and a timer from 1 to 24 hours.

How we reached this verdict
Expert Reviews names it the best dehumidifier you can buy: its DC motor makes it quieter, more efficient and faster at drying laundry than the Arete One, and it cut a test room's humidity from 76% to 61% in two hours. Its one weak point is an app that isn't very intuitive.
We compared independent expert reviews with the manufacturer's specifications, then checked it's sold at a major retailer where you live. We don't test products ourselves.
